All information sent to and from the members' and physicians' areas is encrypted during transmission over the Internet. Other information submitted to HealthRecordsOnline via our on-line forms or e-mail is used to provide you with a response or service you have requested. This information may also be used with information collected by HealthRecordsOnline through logging and cookies, to identify you as a particular user; tracking and measuring website usage and user preferences, interests, demographics, traffic patterns and to determine audience size and repeat usage. This information may also be used to manage and customize the HealthRecordsOnline website content, layout and services. HealthRecordsOnline may also use general demographic data such as age, sex, country/area of residence, etc. for advertising, promotional purposes, no personally identifiable information would be used during these promotions. How you may update, delete and correct information collected You may also contact us at service@healthrecordsonline.com to request that we remove your details from our database. HealthRecordsOnline will delete the records of dormant accounts from our database as a matter of course. Security measures designed to protect against loss, misuse, or theft of this information HealthRecordsOnline uses dedicated servers, stored in locked, secure areas. We utilise Secured Socket Layer (128 SSL) encryption when transmitting all health related data. All data submitted to our web server through both the members' and physicians' areas, is stored in an encrypted format. Access to these servers is limited to employees of HealthRecordsOnline or parties working for HealthRecordsOnline in the maintenance and upgrading of our website. HealthRecordsOnline restricts the number of individuals with access to our servers. All employees of HealthRecordsOnline or any agents in its employment with access to our servers, must sign confidentiality clauses related to the disclosure and use of personal health information. All personal and health data transmitted to or from the members' area to our servers is encrypted during transmission over the Internet. Similarly all data sent to or from the physicians' area is also encrypted during transmission. This data is also stored on our web server in an encrypted format. We would suggest that users not disclose their passwords to others, that they utilize firewalls on their computers, and that they log off and close their browsers when finished visiting our website. Nonetheless the potential for misuse, abuse or theft of information remains and users must weigh the advantages against the potential risk. As security technology improves we will endeavor to establish upgrades to our systems in as timely a fashion as possible. Communication from the HealthRecordsOnline website A member would typically receive a confirmation e-mail on registering and generally no more than 3 renewal reminders. Members are also notified by e-mail when their account is accessed both from the members and physicians areas. HealthRecordsOnline will also typically notify a member by e-mail when access to their account has been blocked after membership fees become overdue. On rare occasions, it may be necessary for us to contact you for strictly service related reasons. For example if our services are temporarily suspended. Generally members may not opt-out of these strictly service related communications, as they are essential for the proper functioning of you account. Users may opt-out of non-service related communications.
