The HealthRecordsOnline website is designed to allow members to collect and store all their important health details in one location. A member seeking medical attention with a new doctor can immediately provide a summary of their important health details to the doctor.
Portability
A new illness away from home is always stressful, yet it can be made less so and dealt with more effectively and efficiently if the attending doctor has immediate access to your more important health details. This data would include health problems, current medications, drug allergies and contact data.
- A Member must provide their attending doctor with three keys to unlock their record. A user name, Physician access code and a Private Key Phrase. Only with this information can the doctor access the member's record.
- If you are visiting a doctor across town, across the country, or even on the other side of the world, as a member of HealthRecordsOnline, you will be able to provide a summary of all your relevant health data 24 hours a day.
Members will no longer have to wait until relevant data arrives from their usual doctor. Their own records travel along with them, providing a reassuringly convenient form of health insurance.
Enhancing Medical Care
- A doctor can more quickly assess a new patient when provided with relevant medical details.
- Certain features in the presentation of an illness are more immediately apparent when an individual's medical history is available.
- Potential drug interactions can be considered if current medications are known, and previous adverse reactions need not be repeated if they are made known to your doctor.
- Overall medical care may be enhanced by the availability of a well-documented medical history.
Convenience
- HealthRecordsOnline offers members the convenience of having their relevant medical details centralized in one location. These health records can be accessed easily, wherever Internet access is available.
Control
- HealthRecordsOnline members have control over the health details that are recorded in their online file, and control who is allowed access to that data.
- Files may be updated, edited, deleted and changed any number of times by a member. However, always remember that the more complete your records are the more useful your records will be to a new doctor.
- Health Reminders is designed to help members keep on track with their medical schedules. Receive reminders about physical examinations, follow up appointments, prescription refills, or other important dates.
Education
- Our Health newsletter will discuss general health topics, emerging health concerns and events.
